With the Easter weekend just around the corner we’re starting to think about entertaining friends and family, Easter activities for grown ups and children, and – if you’re in the UK – whether our whimsical English weather is going to play ball or not!

It’s also a time for freshening up the home, casting our thoughts forward to warmer and longer days, and cracking on with that spring clean. Because it won’t be long before we’ll be spending more time outdoors, we may as well get the home in order while it still feels worthwhile being inside.

Put it this way: if the winter months are about fortifying our nests and making them warm and comfortable for hunkering down into, springtime is all about feathering that nest: creative embellishments, uplifting décor and practical touches that add aesthetic value. And bringing that aesthetic outdoors, too.

Here are some of our top five basket picks for celebrating Easter - and beyond.

1. Mini Bolga Baskets

Our Ghanaian mini bolga baskets are perfect for Easter egg hunts and make lovely toy storage and role-play props for children all year round. They're also great for general kitchen storage; hen's eggs, napkins, cutlery and herbs and spices. Every single one is different: made once and sold once.

3. Mini Sisal Trinket Basket
Sold as a single basket or set of three, these dinky, shallow baskets are perfect for filling with mini eggs and chocs and dotting around your Easter table.
Each is a lucky dip design so treat yourself or others instead of gifting chocolate this year.

4. Bike Baskets
Woven bike baskets in adult and mini sizes will make your Easter holiday adventures all the more enchanting: just add flowers (for the ‘gram) - and a tasty picnic!

Children’s bike baskets work equally well on scooters, and all bike baskets can be attached to cot bars and bannister rails indoors if you need a little extra, up-high storage.

5.  Picnic Basket
Whether you’re off on an adventure somewhere new this Easter break or simply staycationing, our WAA-A woven picnic basket is a timely investment. Pack yours up with tasty treats or take it fruit-picking in the spring and summer. For the indoor months, use it as home storage: this picnic basket makes a stunning sewing or knitting basket or larder storage, and can hold a good number of loo rolls and children’s toys!
