With the joyous revelation of crocuses, snowdrops and daffodils in our gardens and green spaces, Spring is undeniably on its way for us UK-dwellers after what feels like a very long and dark winter.

For us, this comes with deep yearning for longer days spent exploring and relaxing outdoors, the memory (and anticipation) of summer festivals and holidays, and an energizing shift in the colour palettes we’re most drawn to.

Time to get playful! Storage baskets and planters from £16

With all of this promise stirring in natural world, we’re delighted to introduce the Miami New Neutrals edit for S/S 2020: all cool hues, jolly motifs and delicious colour pairings. These brand-new basket bags and baskets for the home evoke the warmth of Miami sunsets and the playful, ice cream tones of a beach-side boulevard in the springtime.

Spring knits in nostalgic pastels by @sezane

The energizing colours in this collection all sit firmly within Pantone’s Spring/Summer 2020 colour palette – one that conveys a sense of ease whilst appealing to our thirst for the familiar.

“Combining our desire for stability, creativity, and more spontaneous design approaches, the colour palette for Spring/Summer 2020 infuses heritage and tradition with a colourful, youthful update that creates strong multi-coloured combinations as well as energizing and optimistic pairings.”

- Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute

Yarn and sisal basket bags £95

Choose from striped, handwoven sisal baskets in soothing colour combinations that range from faded denim to Biscay green, coral pink, grape compote, saffron and sunlight. Each one is unique – made once and sold once by women working within one of our most creative and rural weaving cooperatives in Kenya.

Bring a nostalgic splash to any corner of the home with a hand embroidered planter or storage basket bearing the motif that most appeals to your inner (or actual) child! These very special embroidered baskets are handwoven from sustainably sourced sisal grass and hand embroidered by an exceptionally talented artist named Nduta, who works from her workshop in Nairobi. The charming pineapple, llama, watermelon, rainbow and cactus motifs are designed by British artist Jacqueline Colley, and you can learn more about our collaboration with these two inspiring women here.

Embroidered motif baskets from £32

"In this era of personalized self- expression, this palette of recognized favourites uses the familiar to take some unique twists and turns highlighting elements of humour, modernity, and entertainment.”
