It has been on my mind to bring you behind-the-scenes content for some time, because as our lovely subscribers you don't just want product news, right?!

We are always beavering away at our Basket Room HQ in Oxfordshire and our hub in Nairobi. Sometimes there is so much going on we don't know where to start! So here goes...our first monthly journal. We hope you enjoy getting to know us and the team that little bit more...

We're so excited to tell you that we've got some beautiful new collections launching this Spring. Ideas were realised last June as I sat in my sister's flat by the sea in Hastings!

The GROW collection features swathes of soft pastels reminiscent of flourishing Spring and Summer gardens alongside CREATE which captures bold checks, pinstripes, brave colour block combos and Y2K-inspired tie dye medleys. 

New Collection Launch Early April

In January we returned to Maison et Objet in Paris, our first trade show since 2020 (pre-covid!). Anna and Katie from the UK team joined Tabz who flew out from Kenya for a week to showcase our new SS23 collections. 

If you've ever visited you'll know how huge this trade fair is, blink and you are lost!. The team had an incredible week meeting new and existing stockists and we cannot wait to deliver their orders this Spring.

Over the past 12 months, we've welcomed three new members to team TBR! 

Tabz (left) joined us last Spring as our Production Coordinator, she has been working closely with our partner weaving groups in Kenya overseeing the production of our new collections. You might have seen her on our Insta Lives reporting from the field! Tabz loves to travel, read books and go hiking with her friends.

George (top right) works from TBR HQ in Oxfordshire as a Production Assistant. He picks and packs your orders and assists with office admin tasks and container deliveries. He loves a game of footie and travelling!

Joseph (bottom right) is our newest recruit, he came in to help for a couple of days in December...and well, never left! He is also a football fan (Man Utd!) and loves to play his acoustic guitar. You'll find Joe working on our wholesale customer service and packing orders, he's always singing whilst he works!
