Still beautiful, but now reduced in our sale as the eyelets have discoloured - check out our pictures. IDADI is an on-trend and eminently wearable sisal bucket bag in chic black, ethically and sustainably produced in Kenya.
Featuring beautiful leather straps and a drawstring top closure with tassels, IDADI will bring a streak of ethical style to any ensemble. Everything about this beautiful bag’s creation is ethical and sustainable, from the indigenous sisal fibres to its methods of production, having been hand woven by artisans working in a fair trade cooperative we work closely with in Kenya. Once weaving is completed, the bags are sent to a local tannery where cow hide shoulder straps are produced and attached by artisan leatherworkers. Sustainable in its entirety, IDADI’s metal bead rivets are made from recycled scrap metal: an income source for artisans living in the Kawangare slums of Nairobi.
All our hand-woven bags come with a thank you card from the cooperative that made it, and you can meet the weavers HERE.
