BINGA: Garlic Gourd Woven Pot
Our stunning garlic gourd shaped baskets will bring a soothing sense of organic texture and craft to any interior space. These decorative woven baskets are handcrafted in small numbers by women of the Tonga tribe, living and working in the Binga district of Zimbabwe. No two garlic gourd baskets are quite the same – each is its own work of art.
With an undulant surface and bulbous, teardrop shape, these baskets are woven from ilala palm – a material indigenous to Zimbabwe as well as south Africa and Madagascar. Use yours as a large woven vase for holding dried flowers and tall grasses, display in a group, or let this incredible decorative basket speak for itself, and stand alone.
MATERIAL: Ilala Palm
