PADMA: 1-Tier Jute Macrame Plant Hanger

These beautiful, single tier plant hangers are hand woven from jute plant. This versatile shrub grows abundantly in Bangladesh, where the hangers are ethically made by women working within a large network of village cooperatives.

These exquisite hangers are in fact traditional Bangladeshi storage solutions, originally created to save precious space around the home and keep things like food, clothes and even kitchen utensils tidy and up off the floor.  These aesthetic and sturdy hangers work exceptionally well with our woven baskets (our XL, L and M* baskets all fit the PADMA plant hanger nicely, and size L is the best fit) and when teamed with a beautiful basket they can be used to store or display anything from stationery to toiletries – and, of course, lovely, tumbling pot plants.

Purchasing one of these plant hangers helps to support the livelihoods of the communities who produce them. In continuing to place new orders with our partner cooperatives in Bangladesh we enable families to earn a fair wage locally, discouraging people from migrating to the overcrowded cities.
